Why I Started Pair

Dating today is... a lot. It can feel overwhelming, confusing, unsafe, and full of mixed signals, red flags, and unanswered questions.

I created Pair because I needed it myself.

After nearly 20 years of marriage, I found myself single again at 42 — suddenly dropped into what I now jokingly call the dating jungle. I met narcissists, love-bombers, breadcrumbers, and people who weren't quite as divorced as their profiles claimed.

I constantly questioned myself:
Is this normal? Is this a red flag? Am I overreacting? Am I safe?

And I knew I wasn't alone.
